Feng Shui Bedroom Tips
Bedrooms are at the core of love-relationships and those in love or looking for it, can begin by adopting a few basic tips to improve upon the levels of positive Chi-energy in these rooms.
The Bed. Beds should not be placed where its sides are against the wall. They should be placed where there is equal space on either side. It is recommended that side-tables are placed on either side at the head of the bed. The head of the bed should have a solid wall behind it. The bedroom should be kept clean and clear of any clutter. Ensure that your head does not come under a beam or cabinet while you sleep. If a bathroom adjoins a bedroom, it should be clean and the door must remain closed at all times. It does not matter if one’s head faces a bathroom wall.
Water. It is recommended that bedrooms are free of water though a glass of it is generally permissible.
Images. If wall paintings, photo-frames, etc, are used to beautify your bedroom, they must not depict loneliness, isolation, sorrow, etc, as these feelings eat at the positive energy and build on negativity. It is recommended to use images that depict love and romance. Hanging these images on the wall directly opposite the foot of the bed is ideal.
Take Out the Past. Those having been in failed relationships in the past must ensure that there are no traces of them in the bedroom. Diaries, albums, pictures, items that remind you of a bad relationship should be tossed away.
Brightness. The bedroom should be free of dark and murky corners. It is recommended that weak bulbs, snuffed-out candles, etc are removed. Lighting two red candles in the right-hand corner of the room helps attract love.
Check the Doors. Worn, squeaky, damaged doors must be repaired or replaced.
Colors. Pink is widely recommended for a bedroom that employs Feng Shui philosophy. Apart from being the color of relationships, it is believed to combine the passion of red and the metal element of white. Other colors recommended are peach, light blue and light green.
Work with Pairs. Pairing items and objects in the bedroom can stoke the flames of love. Those in search of love may place two pillows side by side, a pair of Mandarin ducks as show-pieces, a pair of candlesticks if any and wall-pictures or picture frames should have two people in them.
